About Me

Hi my name is KJ Bennett.

I’m a relationship therapist working with couples, parents, and families. I love the variety in my work—one moment I might be supporting a mum with her son’s ADHD, the next helping a couple improve communication, or guiding a family as they blend and grow together. I became therapist because I believe everyone deserves to feel understood and connected in their relationships.

I get it, becoming a parent is a beautiful AND it’s a shocking transition both on an individual level and in our partnerships. In our partnerships it can often lead to miscommunication, resentment, and disconnection. I want to help with that. I focus on how relational patterns form, repeat, and can shift—with awareness and intention—so that relationships feel more connected and fulfilling.

I hold a Master’s degree in Counselling and an undergraduate degree in Communication Studies, and I am a registered member of the Australian Counselling Association. I use an integrative approach, drawing on evidence-based practices because each client and couple is different. This includes Emotionally Focused Therapy, the Gottman Method, attachment-based and somatic therapies, and relationship self-awareness practices.

Above all, I aim to create a safe, grounded space where individuals and couples can move from reacting to each other toward intentionally connecting.
